Dermaplaning Facial
A full facial with dermaplaning as the exfoliation step: cleanse, dermaplane, mask and a medical-grade finish.

Dead skin and peach fuzz removed with a blade, for a smooth surface and no downtime.
Facial $175. Add-on $30.
Dermaplaning in Falls Church at Skin Lab is a manual exfoliation. A provider glides a sterile blade across the skin to lift away the dead surface layer and the fine facial hair known as peach fuzz. Skin feels smoother at once, makeup sits flatter and products absorb more evenly.
Book it as the $175 Dermaplaning Facial, or add it to another facial for $30. Call 703-488-7546, or see the full facials menu.

The skin is cleansed and dried, then held taut while the blade moves in short strokes. It takes off what scrubs and acids leave behind, without chemicals, which is why it suits many people who cannot tolerate stronger exfoliation.
With the dull layer gone, a peel or a DiamondGlow serum reaches the skin more evenly. That is the reason dermaplaning is our most common add-on.
The change is visible and easy to feel the same day.
Foundation stops catching on fine hair and dry patches.
It is a physical exfoliation, so there is nothing to react to.
There is no peeling or redness to plan around.
Treatments work more evenly on skin that has just been dermaplaned.
Once a month, on its own or with your facial.
Skin is cleansed and fully dried so the blade glides.
Short, light strokes across the face while the skin is held taut.
A mask and sunscreen. Skip scrubs and acids for a few days.

No. Dermaplaning removes fine vellus hair, the soft peach fuzz. Cutting it at the surface does not change the follicle, so it grows back the same. The blunt tip can feel different for a few days as it comes in.
No. It feels like a light scraping across dry skin. There is no pulling, and no numbing is needed.
Dermablading is another name for dermaplaning. It differs from shaving at home: a trained provider uses a sterile surgical blade at a set angle on prepared skin, which removes the dead surface layer as well as the hair.
About three to four weeks, which is one skin cycle. Most people repeat it monthly, often with their regular facial.
We do not dermaplane over active acne breakouts, cold sores, sunburn or irritated skin. If you have inflamed acne, an acne facial comes first and dermaplaning waits until the skin is calm.
Yes. It has no downtime and makeup goes on more smoothly afterward. Two or three days before the event is ideal.
