What a rosacea facial is
A rosacea facial in Falls Church at Skin Lab is the calming version of our Custom Lab Facial. Everything that commonly triggers a flush is taken out: hot steam, scrubs, strong acids and fragrance. What is left is a gentle cleanse, light hydration, a cooling mask and medical-grade products made for reactive skin.

Reactive skin usually has a weakened barrier, so it loses water easily and stings with products other people tolerate. The goal of this facial is to put moisture back and take irritation away, not to resurface.
We ask what sets your skin off, from heat to particular ingredients, and keep those out of the room. You leave with a short routine built on the same principle.

Rosacea facial questions
How much does a rosacea facial cost in Falls Church?
It is the Custom Lab Facial in its calming version, $150 for 45 to 50 minutes, or $99 with the Lab Glow Classic membership.
Can a facial treat rosacea?
A facial does not cure rosacea. A calming facial can reduce the look of redness, ease tightness and dryness, and strengthen the skin barrier so flare-ups are less easily triggered. Diagnosis and prescription treatment come from a physician.
What do you leave out for sensitive skin?
Hot steam, scrubs, strong acids and fragrance. We use lukewarm water, a mild enzyme or no exfoliation at all, light pressure and a cooling mask.
Will I be redder afterward?
Most people leave calmer than they arrived. If your skin flushes easily, some pinkness for an hour is possible. Tell us your triggers before we start.
Is LED light therapy good for redness?
Red LED is a gentle, no-heat add-on that many people with reactive skin like. It is $75 for 10 minutes, or half that for Lab Glow members.
What about visible veins and lasting redness?
Those usually need more than a facial. Our laser skin rejuvenation treats redness and uneven tone. We will tell you at the visit whether it is worth a consult.
How often should I come in?
Every four to six weeks suits most sensitive skin. During a flare-up it is better to wait until the skin settles.
