Is DiamondGlow the same as a HydraFacial?
No. Both exfoliate, extract and add serum in one visit. DiamondGlow exfoliates with a diamond tip and infuses the serum at the same moment. HydraFacial exfoliates with a liquid solution through a suction tip and adds serum in a later step. Skin Lab offers DiamondGlow and does not offer HydraFacial.
Does DiamondGlow hurt?
No. It feels like light suction and a fine scrub moving across the skin. Most people find it comfortable enough to relax through.
Is there downtime after DiamondGlow?
There is no real downtime. Some people are a little pink for an hour or two. You can go back to work and wear makeup the next day. Use sunscreen and pause retinoids for a few days.
How often should I get DiamondGlow?
Every four to six weeks suits most skin. One visit gives a glow for an event. Texture, congestion and tone improve more when the visits are regular.
Can I add dermaplaning or LED?
Yes. Dermaplaning is a $30 add-on and LED is $75 for 10 minutes or $100 for 30 minutes. Lab Glow members pay half on both add-ons.
